During my first pregnancy I felt quite overwhelmed when it came to our baby registry. As a first time mom I spent a lot of time researching safety of products before I added them to our list. One thing I was stuck on deciding about was crib bumpers. I remember growing up every crib I saw had the notorious big bumper pads around them, but more recently I know many urge parents to re-think using crib pad bumpers due to their potential risks of suffocation, strangulation, or entrapment because infants lack the motor skills or strength to turn their heads should they roll into something that obstructs their breathing not to mention the fact it increases the risks of SIDS. They are even banned in most U.S. states. For us it was a pretty easy decision; none of those!
Ultimately we chose mesh bumpers. They lasted less than a week before they were taken out. No matter how tight we tied them, if we bumped them or Miss A rolled against them, they would slide down and actually start to bunch together, creating major safety hazards! I was quite disappointed.
Not long after Little Dude arrived, I was introduced to Wonder Bumpers by Go Mama Go Designs, and let me say I am in love!
Wonder Bumpers are a vertical crib pad that you actually zip onto each individual rail of your crib in a downwards motion leaving no risk of your baby grabbing the zipper. There are no dangerous ties for baby to grab a hold of and now you have a safe sleep solution for baby without the added worries of possible suffocation or strangulation. The vertical design is also great for when baby becomes more mobile you don’t have to worry about them using the bumper in attempts to climb out of the crib.
Go Mama Go Designs offers a great variety of selection from girls, boys to even neutral. One feature we love is the fact that they are reversible. We received the Tractor Trails Wonder Bumpers which is simply adorable. Our package included:
- 38 Reversible Wonder Bumpers
- 1 Fitted Crib Sheet
- 1 Crib Skirt
- 1 Crib Blanket
We having been using a set for a couple of months now and I can’t tell you enough how much we love them! The bumpers are also washable and have held up great for 3 washes! Little Dude loves to scoot and roll when he is in his crib, many times banging his head on the railing. With Wonder Bumpers he has never even whimpered when rolling against them.
If you have a little one in your life, I highly recommend the Wonder Bumbers from Go Mama Go Designs for your safe, sleep solution! Keep in mind you can use these all through toddler years as well; truly making it a great investment!

I’ve seen these around and I have always thought they were such a great idea. We have a mesh bumper now and I wind it in and out of the crib slats, so I feel safe with it, but if I were ever going to have another baby I would definitely invest in these! Great gift idea, too!
We never did use a crib but we would have so used these if so! Will keep in mind for the next baby 🙂 What a cutie pie too !!
I would have so loved this when my son was a baby… gives parents a little more peace of mind. 🙂
I LOVE my Wonder Bumpers! They are now on baby #2 and doing great. I obviously need to go look at all the current prints because the one you picked is adorable. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! 🙂
These are seriously so cool and functional at the same time. I have 2 daughters in the market for something like this. I will pass it on
