Hi. I’m Virginia. If you’ve landed on this page, you probably want to know who I am. At my core, I am an empowering voice of truth and leadership and a compassionate life enthusiast. My roles in life include being a loving wife, mother of three, daughter, sister, friend, full-time homemaker, homeschooler, disciple of Christ, disciple maker, assistant pastor of Expansion Church, WIML coach, mentor, NFED family liaison … And yes… That Bald Chick. My aim in life is to empower others to see themselves as the Lord sees them and to equip them to fulfill their God given purpose in life.
I am affected by AEC syndrome, one of the ectodermal dysplasias, which is why I am a lifelong baldie. 😀 AEC runs in our family.
Hubs and I have three children, whom I affectionately call Mister, Sister, and Little Miss on this site. I occasionally use their real names on social media or on this site, but those uses are few and far between because I believe they need to establish their own digital foot prints.
Hubs is referred to as Hubs, That Tech Geek, Honey, Mr. Higgins, or just plain B.
I originally started this site as a creative outlet when Mister was just 3 months old! Back then it was called LadyVdZine, because I did some digital scrapbooking. Mister is now 17, and just as he has grown, so has this site, so I said goodbye to LadyVdZine and Hello, That Bald Chick on December 22, 2010.
While I am the sole owner and most frequent author of That Bald Chick, Hubs may occasionally put his two cents in. When he does, trust me, you will want to listen. I also periodically have site contributors who weigh in. When they do, their posts will state who it is by under the post title.
