White Water #ExploreBranson

We received admission to White Water as part of #ExploreBranson, a promotional blogger tour of Branson, MO, through the US Family Guide.  All experiences and opinions are my own.

My kids love playing in the water, getting wet, splashing everyone around them.   When we told them that we would be going to White Water, Branson, they were over the wave happy!  It was a steady stream of “Can we go yet?” from the moment we divulged that bit of information!  After we stopped for a few photos, Mister had a look at the map to see where we should go first.

The choices were plentiful since this water park boasts 2 million gallons of fun rides and attractions!   You can ride the high tides in the 500,000-gallon wave pool,  or brave the 7-story freefall slides,  go floating on the over 800-foot Aloha River and relax with little ones at Coconut Cove!  But safety first!  Gear up with complimentary life jackets that are available at various stations for park goers.

Since Mister is a strong swimmer, we made him wear his life jacket for the wave pool, but let him take it off when he experienced the other areas of the water park.  Sister wore hers the entire time.  Little Miss wore hers most of the time, but we did take it off for a few minutes for her to splash (by our side) in Coconut Cove.

Two of my favorite photos from our entire trip are from White Water, which is funny considering I only took my cell phone in with me for photos.

Mister and Sister just couldn’t resist the truck at White Water, and I couldn’t resist taking a picture!

We left the water park by early afternoon, as the kids were just worn out, they played so hard!  We did not attempt the KaPau (pronounced KA-POW) Plummet, which is a drop-floor AquaLaunch slide sitting atop a four-story tower. It features a near-vertical 70-degree plunge and two-story rider free fall through two 240-foot dueling slides, followed by a spiraling loop.

Nope. We didn’t try that one. It was neat to watch, though. LOL

As with many attractions, if you plan to visit more than once, purchasing a season pass is the way to go.  Another great deal is the Splash and Play Pass deal between Silver Dollar City and White Water., which gets you unlimited visits to Silver Dollar City and White Water for 1, 2, or 3 days. The Splash & Play Combo deal is valid May 17-September 7, 2014.

I think it’ll be buckets of fun to go back to White Water when Little Miss is a bit older, to see how much more she’ll enjoy it.  Next time, though, we’re getting swim shoes.  Man, the pavement gets hot!
