Uses for Essential Oils at thatbaldchick.com

Essential oils are an amazing natural resource and have the ability to change lives in a positive way. You may have been around when we introduced essential oils to help support a healthy lifestyle a few years ago. We’re still using essential oils and we’ve found so many uses for essential oils in everyday things.

Uses for Essential Oils

Bug Bites

I’ve discovered that certain essential oils make great remedies for bug bites. You can even make your own itch away spray out of essential oils.  Essential oils are great for keeping the little pests at bay in the first place, but help to take the itch out of bites, too.

Cooking

Cooking with essential oils can be fun.  Yes, you can use essential oils in your recipes, including breads, ice creams, and more.  I enjoy dipping a toothpick in cinnamon oil, then dipping it into my coffee.  I have a great lemon berry frozen yogurt recipe that my family loves that uses lemon oil. It’s fun to make peppermint hot cocoa, too. Consider adding various essential oils to your roasts, salads, and burgers! I only recommend Young Living Vitality essential oils as they carry FDA approval.

DIY Skin Care

Use essential oils you to make your own sugar scrubs, body butters, lotions, and more. You can even make your own shampoo, deodorant, and body wash using your favorite oil. Of course, if you’re going to DIY, you need appropriate containers. I recommend storing in glass containers only. We use a blend of essential oils with coconut oil and shea butter to make our own skin butter that hydrates and makes the skin supple and smooth. The best part about using essential oils in your  skin care is that you can create a personalized version that your skin loves.

Using an essential oil, such as lavender, can open a whole new world up for your family. Lavender helps support skin repair. You can dilute lavender oil with a carrier oil to create an amazing rub.

Finding different uses for essential oils can become a fun challenge of sorts. It’s hard to find an area in which essential oils aren’t helpful.

I find an amazing assortment of essential oil recipes in ebooks on Amazon!
