We host a small group of couples, and their families, in our home every month for lunch. It’s a great opportunity to get to participate in each other’s lives and to learn from/challenge each other. We typically provide the main dish, and everyone else brings the sides. This month, we were excited to make Ultimate Party Meatballs.
The Ultimate Party Meatballs recipe is really simple! It requires Heinz Chili Sauce, Johnsonville Classic Italian Meatballs, Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce, and a slow cooker. That’s it!
No, really. That’s it! Of course, you can choose to use the saucepan method if you like, but our group comes over for lunch right after church, so it’s slow cooker all the way for us!
Here’s the recipe!
Because our crowd included eight adults and nine children that would be feasting on these bad boys, I doubled the sauce (two bottle Heinz Chili Sauce and two cans Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce) and tripled the meatballs (three 24 oz bags of fully cooked Johnsonville Classic Italian Meatballs). I dumped the chili sauce and cranberry sauce in a Ziploc bag and mushed it together, then poured it over the top of 84 meatballs. I gave them a stir, set the Crock-Pot on high, and we left for church. When we got home from church, these beauties were inviting us in with their smell! Oh my!
No chance of leftovers here, these meatballs disappeared! They were certainly a crowd pleaser, and even the picky eater kidlets enjoyed more than one meatball!
Funnily enough, two of the ladies told me at the END of our meeting that they “aren’t really meatball fans but that the Ultimate Party Meatballs were delicious” and that they’d eat them again!
We’ll definitely be making these again!
Disclosure: I received Heinz®, Johnsonville® and Ocean Spray® products in exchange for sharing this recipe. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Those sound great, a bit of kick, a bit of sweet. Now to find gluten free meatballs!

My grandmother makes (made…not sure if she still does) meatballs from scratch, and if my memory serves me correctly, they simmered all day long. They were sooo good!! I think that cooking them all day takes meatballs to a whole new level!
