Let’s face it, there are not many things that are more fun than a Luau. Planning one of these tropical themed parties is seriously one of my favorite things to do for Women’s Ministry. When I throw a Luau party I make sure I have plenty of door prizes available. Check out these top five door prizes for a Luau that will make everyone smile!
Hula Totes
Okay, this is seriously an awesome door prize to hand out. We give these out as one of the bigger prizes and people fall in love. Hula Totes are awesome as door prizes because you can keep using them for other things around the home, long after the party is over.
Tropical Tumblers
I handed out these Tropical Tumblers at our last Luau. Everyone loved these because they can keep the tropical feeling long after the luau is over.
Hula Skirts
How fun would it be to give out Hula Skirts? Everyone could wear them around during the party. I can’t wait to add these to the fun for our next luau!
Leis for the Luau
What’s a luau without leis? The more you’re wearing, the better. Whether you choose to go with necklaces or wristlets, everyone will love them. They are fun to decorate with, as well.
Hawaiian Themed Key Chains
What better way to remember your Luau experience then a Hawaiian themed key chain? This keepsake would be a fun one to give to everyone, as well. Even better if you can have them personalized with the group name and year!
If you have door prizes, you have to have games, right? Two of my favorite games from our last luau were the Limbo Challenge and the Hula Hoop Challenge. Both were new this year, and we had so much fun that I will be sure to have one at every Luau I host! We used a Deluxe Limbo Kit with a base from Oriental Trading for our challenges. I love how I can easily move the bar without any hassle. Plus, this is a fun game that the kids can get involved in as well. Our teen girls had a blast with it! Of course, we handed out our awesome door prizes for the winners.
