One of the benefits of homeschooling is that we are at liberty to teach on Creationism and Intelligent Design. I volunteer with the youth at our church, and we recently did a series on Creation, as taught in the Bible. Many of the students in the group had never heard Intelligent Design, or Creationism, presented in anything but a disparaging manner. Their high school curriculum teaches evolution pretty much as fact, and the question asked by many of them was, “Can you be a Christian, believe in God, and still believe in science?” We recently review the film The Master Designer- The Song, from Exploration Films, at home, and it addresses that question.
One of the biggest questions of all time is “How did this all come to be?” Is it all a result of unintelligent random processes? Or is it possible that there is another explanation. Does the scientific evidence now available demonstrate clearly that there was a Master Designer behind it all? And if so, what does that mean to us?
In The Master Designer- The Song, join host Brian Corsetti on a journey into our created world to discover clues and answers that the animals themselves reveal. And discover the remarkable story of how some of these animals have even changed the course of history! This is a glimpse into the blueprint of creation that reveals a dramatic story…a story of purpose, meaning, significance and ultimately love, all crafted by The Master Designer.
This film is filled with stunning footage and effectively explains how the nature of animals defies the theory of evolution and points to an alternative answer that is more consistent with reality. It is a great intro for kids to study in Genesis.
The Master Designer- The Song is 75 minutes long and is presented in English. My kids are only 1, 5, and 7. They thoroughly enjoyed this film, though I did have to break it into two viewings for them. Their favorite part was about the bee’s. My son has the Apologia books Swimming Creatures, Flying Creatures, and Land Animals. After watching The Master Designer, he spent over an hour looking through them to review some of the creatures presented in the film.

We will certainly be more Exploration Films to our collection!
