When it comes to studying the Bible, I love to use several different translations to ensure that I am getting a well rounded understanding of what is being said. I was excited, then, when I recently received the opportunity to review The CSB Study Bible For Women. This is one translation that I didn’t already have on my study shelf.

What I liked about The CSB Study Bible For Women
My favorite feature of The CSB Study Bible for Women has to be the word studies. I frequently use a Bible app to look of the original Greek and Hebrew of verses, to garner a better understanding of what I’m reading. Having the word studies in text is wonderful.
I like the Biblical Womanhood articles. Each article delves into what it means to be be a biblical woman and matters that affect the woman’s heart, from the Judgement on the Woman (page 6), to the danger of comparison (page 345) to marital intimacy (page 759) to women who followed Jesus (page 13316) and more. These excerpts are great thought starters.
I also like the Character Profiles throughout the text. The character profile includes tidbits about the characters background, story, and life lessons to learn and apply from them.
What I would change about The CSB Study Bible for Women
Throughout the CSB Study Bible for Women are “Hard Questions” excerpts. I love the excerpts, and enjoy reading them, but I would have preferred to see a section at the end for hard questions, rather than having them strewn throughout the text. It’s been my experience that when someone is asking one hard question, it is typically followed up with more. It’d be great to have one section to point to when helping others find the answers they seek.
