sweetriot is a company, based out of New York City, that is on a mission to develop a new 100 calorie line of their organic, fair trade certified, chocolate treats. The chief rioter, aka founder, Sarah is originally from a small town in Michigan. She wanted to create a company that would move the world, so she created sweetriot. sweetriot supports Fair Trade and sourcing exclusively with our Latin American amigos, which directly supports a better life for farming families through fair prices and direct trade.

To develop this line of 100 calorie treats, sweetriot is running an IndieGoGo campaign. It takes money to develop new products, right? sweetriot would like to raise $50,000, and is offering a sweet array yummy gifts, including a year’s supply of chocolate, an NYC trip, a trip to the cacao farm, to get donors onboard. I don’t know about you, but a dark chocolate bar with flax sounds pretty good right about now!

This company is changing the lives of cacao farmers in Latin America. Farmers like Hector, who farms the cacao fruit in Columbia.
Check out the sweetriot IndieGoGo campaign and join the sweetriot on Facebook. Change the world, one chocolate bar at a time.

These look really yummy! I have a friend who eats all organic and she would love these (plus the fact that they’re fair trade!).
