One of the
consequences benefits of losing weight and getting into shape is that I just had to purge my closet! I was going to put it off a bit longer, but when my husband said, “Why are you wearing those ugly pants? They’re way too big and so unflattering” about a pair of my pants, I knew it was time. I spent an afternoon trying things on with one criteria– to go back in the closet, it had to fit AND flatter. Those that did not fit AND flatter earned a one way trip to either the charity box or the trash can!
Armed with an excuse to shop, and someone to watch my kids, I was determined to pick out some new things that fit AND flatter.
The first outfit I chose is a Simply Vera Vera Wang Simply Breathe Yoga Outfit. It includes the Simply Vera Vera Wang Simply Breathe Faux-Wrap French Terry Hoodie, the Simply Vera Vera Wang Simply Breathe Floral Seamless Racerback Tank, and the Simply Vera Vera Wang Simply Breathe Yoga Capris. The yoga pants are super comfy, but cute enough for a quick trip to the store when paired with the tank and faux wrap hoodie.
^did you notice that my collar bones have reappeared? Squeal!^
Anyway, next I chose a Simply Vera Vera Wang Print Tee that I paired with a pair of Apt. 9 Modern Fit Straight-Leg Capri Jeans in the Whiskey wash. I am in love with the softness of the Simply Vera Vera Wang print tees, and have actually gone back and added two more to my wardrobe. LOL. The Apt 9 capri jeans are a great staple and I plan to keep them even after I lose the next twenty pounds!
I used the rest of my budget to invest in the perfect fitting bra, but I’m afraid I can’t show you that. ;) I can say that it’s wonderful, though.
By the way, here’s a peak at part of the pile of clothes I had to purge…
Felt. So. Good!
