Smartick Method for Math Giveaway at thatbaldchick.com

Special thanks to Smartick Method for making this review and giveaway possible!

Math has never been my favorite subject.  Don’t get me wrong, I went all the way through calculus in high school because I was told I needed it (they lied).  I can DO math, but that does not mean that I ENJOY math.  I do want my kids to enjoy learning math, but my ambivalence toward the subject sometimes negates my enthusiasm for teaching them.  I recently discovered the Smartick Method for Math and thought it could be a viable solution.

Why We Like Smartick Method for Math

The Smartick Method is an online math learning program that uses the latest artificial intelligence to adapt to your child’s learning style. Based on a daily 15-minute session, the child progresses at his or her own pace, building self-confidence, avoiding frustration, and developing a positive attitude to math. With three kiddos, I can use all the help I can get to foster a positive attitude to math. 😉 Smartick is supported by the EU and was recently introduced in the US.  It is designed for children age 4 to 14 years old.  Smartick Method can be used on your PC or tablet, so it’s portable.  All three of my kiddos are using Smartick.

As a parent, I love that each of my kiddos can work at their level without feeling intimidated.  My youngest can work on colors and sequencing.

While my oldest can work on adding and subtracting fractions.

I also love that I can use the parent dashboard to determine which areas each of them needs help in, and which tutorials we need to watch. I can also check to see if they are doing their session when I’m not at home using the Smartick Tutor app.

smartick check progressSmartick also sends an email as soon as your child finishes a session with a summary of that day’s progress.  If your child misses a session, they will send an email indicating a missed session, too (ask me how I know this… lol).

While Smartick is an online learning method, there is a team of educators available to answer questions.  When my daughter struggled with an area, I was able to send an email and got a response quickly.

Smartick Review at thatbaldchick.com

My kids have been using Smartick Method for about 6 weeks now, and they really like it.   We’ll continue to use it throughout the school year to supplement their math curriculum.
