I am very picky about what jeans I purchase and wear on a daily basis. VERY picky. I have never, as an adult, purchased a pair of jeans off the internet (unless it was a brand I knew I liked already), nor have I ever purchased a pair of jeans from any department store, Target, Kohls, or Walmart. Basically, I’d call myself an Old Navy jeans kinda chick. I, simply, prefer their fit and stretch to other in-store brands. However, I have been working VERY hard to lose the last 15 pounds that I’d like to shed and trim up through a good balance of cardio and weight training at the gym, and I am finding that my normal pair of jeans, which I have loved desperately, don’t fit the way that I prefer as my body changes. It’s a good problem to have, but annoying nonetheless. When I was approached to conduct a review of SlimSation brand jeans, I was leery because, as I previously stated, I don’t typically purchase jeans that I’ve never tried on before. But what the heck! My body is changing and I want to show off some of the work I’ve done on my legs with a pair of nice fitting pants!
SlimSation has about 20 different styles of fitted pants, which come in different colors, and are marketed as being totally comfortable while making the wearer feel slimmer in seconds through their use of sewn in tummy control and smoothing panels. Their pants come in a variety of styles including jeans, skinny pants, capris, and relaxed fit trousers. I chose the classic slimming jeans (basic looking skinny jean) because right now I have one pair of jeans that aren’t too big, and like I said, those don’t even fit the way I like anymore.
Ok…I won’t say that I felt pounds lighter in seconds wearing these pants, but I will say that I: 1) loved the way that these pants fit, and 2) they are the softest, most comfortable pants that I have worn…EVER. I’m not exaggerating. I am the type of person who puts jeans on to run errands or go to church, and then takes them off the second I get home because I just don’t find that denim is the epitome of comfort (I know many disagree with me!). This wasn’t the case with this pair of pants, though. I WANTED to continue wearing them, and honestly, they were comfortable enough to nap in on Sunday (that’s like, “Whoa!” for me). Bonus- they maintained their shape and fit, without getting stretched out, even though I napped in them!
I wanted to really be able to give a comprehensive review for this product because, aside from that being my job here, I really like the product and I didn’t want to rave about it if for some reason the quality wasn’t as great after I’d run them through the washer and dryer a few times. So, I wore the heck out of these pants and then treated them like I would any other pair of sturdy jeans: I tossed them in with my kids play clothes to wash and then dried them on my dryer’s permanent press setting. Ya’ll…I was nervous when I got them out of the dryer because I was paranoid that they would’ve shrunk or developed some sort of odd seam or pocket. Not the case! They held up perfectly and retained their shape and comfortable fit! Whew!
I’d highly recommend this brand! They are a little pricey, but I think that the quality of the product makes them worth the cost. These pants can be purchased online as well as at retailers across the country.
