We all know that drastic changes to your diet or lifestyle are not always easy to maintain over time.  Often times, it’s the slight variations, self-control, and conscious choices that are more realistic and manageable that propel us toward a healthier life.  With that in mind, I wanted to share with you a few simple changes you can make for a healthier life.

Simple Changes You Can Make for a Healthier Life

  1. Get up and move! By adding just 20 minutes of activity a day, your energy levels will increase and your sleep will be more restful. There are a plethora of simple exercise to do at home, many of which can be modified to your ability.
  2. Eat more real food.  It’s no secret that real food is better for you than processed food.  Even if you can’t eliminate all of the processed food from your diet, if you make a conscious effort to minimize them you’ll feel better.
  3. Add nutritional supplements.  Let’s face it, even with eating a great diet, foods are not as nutritionally dense as they once were.
  4. Add a probiotic. Probiotics help maintain a healthy internal balance in order to enhance digestion and regularity, help relieve occasional digestive issues, and promote immune health at every stage of life.
  5. Have a snack.  Eating a small healthy snack in between meals may help you avoid overeating at mealtime.
  6. Drink plenty of water. Your body needs water to function properly and to digest the foods you eat.
