Save Money and Time with MDLive

Have you ever wanted to save time and money with taking your kid to the doctor, but weren’t sure where to get started? Medical issues, for us, always seem to happen on a Friday night when our regular doctor is closed. The last thing I want to do is pack up our three kids and sit for hours at the nearest urgent care — or worse yet, in the Emergency Department because even the Urgent Care is closed! Maybe in 2017, we can all use a little updated medical care in the form of telehealth with MDLive. I wanted to talk about how you can save money and time with MDLive!

Save Money and Time with MDLive

I received a free trial and compensation for my time. All opinions are my own.

Not having to leave the house

When you have multiple children, homeschool, and know that unexpectedly having to leave the house for an undetermined amount a time can leave your day a disaster, you are super thankful for something like MDLive. Not having to leave the house to go to the doctor has saved me so much TIME. Being able to talk to a doctor on the phone when my daughter cut her big toe on the sidewalk, after office hours, using MDLive was a huge relief.

It makes more sense

When my daughter cut her toe, after hours, I didn’t want to load everyone up and try to find someone that was open that was on our plan. Chatting with a doctor from MDLive took away a lot of stress that I otherwise would have had. To me, it makes more sense to utilize technology and take advantage of something like MDLive.

Save money

I don’t know about you, but handing out thousands of dollars to an emergency room isn’t my idea of saving money. While I would do anything for my children, I don’t want to spend money where it’s not necessary. MDLive could walk us through our incident, help us to realize that stitches weren’t needed, and I was able to go about my day. My daughter was happy with the medical advice they gave us. We also haven’t had much luck in our area in terms of urgent care and found telehealth to be much more accommodating to our family.

Need medical help?

The next time you need medical help and it’s something simple, give MDLive a call. They take video calls for those basic things that you don’t really need to leave the house for. Think basic colds, small injuries, and even medical questions you really want to ask the doctor, but can’t wait for.

The cool thing about MDLive is it fits around your schedule. You don’t have to go out of the house a 1AM because there isn’t an urgent care open. Do keep in mind that MDLive is HIPPA and PHI compliant. And keep in mind if there is an emergency, please dial 9-1-1. Also keep in mind that MDLive does not partner with a lab organization, so if you need labs, you’ll need to schedule an office visit.

As a mom to three, I can vouch for the convenience of using telehealth over an urgent care. It’s great to have affordable medical options and I feel as though MDLive gives us that.
