One of my favorite educational DVD series, by far, is the Rock N Learn series.  We have eleven Rock N Learn DVD’s, including Sight Words, Phonics, and Earth Science.  Our newest addition to our Rock N Learn DVD library is the Rock N Learn Addition & Subtraction Rap DVD.

Rock N Learn Addition Subtraction Rap

In this engaging DVD, kids learn the basic addition and subtraction facts by singing along with D.J. Doc Roc.  The lyrics are positive, the music is rhythmic, and the characters are fun!  Math facts included are sums up to 18 and differences from 18.  The DVD features visual cues, and all our favorite Rock N Learn animated characters.   The DVD is recommeded for ages 6+ and is about 55 minutes long.

One of the reasons I enjoy Rock N Learn DVDs is because they make learning fun, which makes it memorable.  I especially like the Addition & Subtraction Rap DVD because kids learn to memorize their math facts, which is foundational to more complicated math later on.

Mister and Sister really enjoy this DVD, as well.  Mister enjoys all things math related, and Sister enjoys all thing music related, so it’s a win-win for both!
