Reasons to Switch up Your Beauty Routine This Spring

Your skin is a living organ. It is the largest organ in your body to be exact. As such, your skin is the most exposed to the elements. Weather conditions like sunlight and humidity can affect it significantly. This is why you must pay attention to the weather and the seasons when devising a skincare routine. If you decide to ignore them, your efforts could cause more harm than good. Let’s take a look at a few reasons to switch up your beauty routine this spring.

Knowing when to change your beauty routine is essential to keeping healthy skin year round.

Spring Air is Very Different from Winter Air

Did you know that winter air is much dryer than spring air? Even if you’re living somewhere that gets a lot of precipitation during the winter. It’s true. The air in the spring and summer months is charged with more water because of evaporation. This is very bad news if you like to wear a lot of makeup on your face.

Spring means that heavy foundation, and everything on top of it, will turn it into a gloopy mess. That could end up causing severe damage to your skin. It will clog up your pores, which can then lead to breakouts. You have to make sure that you switch to a much lighter beauty routine and look for natural moisturizers as well. Embrace the fresh skin and focus on healing it during this period.

Moisturizers and serums can get expensive, but are important if you want your skin to remain healthy. However, there are ways that you can take the sting out of beauty product costs. There are tons of beauty care deals online available if you’re ready to do the legwork. Beauty product manufacturers also tend to release a lot of deals during spring. That means now is the perfect time to start looking.

Air Quality Changes

Spring also tends to change environmental conditions. This is especially true if you’re living in a big city. Smog is almost exclusively a spring and summer thing, and weather conditions have something to do with this as well. Cars also emit a lot of pollutants into the air. Those pollutants can end up on our skin and in our pores. This is why you need to take steps to protect it.

Increased Sun Exposure

Appropriate seasonal skin care is important. You should make sure that your skin is protected from UV rays all year long. That said, spring is usually when we start getting more exposure. What this means is that you will need to make sure that you make protection a priority.

You also need to pay attention to your entire face. That means that you need to get yourself a good balm or lipstick with an SPF of 30 or over. This will help keep your lips looking nice and smooth and protect them from harm. I highly recommend a quality light weight sunscreen for your face. I use SPF 100 on my face and scalp. A large-brimmed hat can also reduce the number of rays that directly hit your face.

Excessive exposure to sunlight affects how hot your skin gets and increases your chances of developing skin disorders. UV rays are also one of the main contributors to skin aging. To reduce lines or wrinkles, you need to pay special attention to how much you’re in the sun.

There are tons of reasons why you should adapt your skincare to seasons. Make sure that you know what the optimal routine would be for your skin this spring. This will enable you to enjoy beautiful and healthy skin all season long. Consider organic makeup as part of your skincare routine, as well, to maximize your skins health.
