Punxsutawney Phil got Punked

Share the love!

Twenty days ago, on Groundhog Day,  Punxsutawney Phil spotted his shadow at Gobbler’s Knob in Pennsylvania and said we should prepare for six more weeks of winter weather…

early spring

Staten Island Chuck, another prognosticating rodent, did NOT see his shadow, and predicted an early spring.

I think Punxsutawney Phil got Punked,

early spring

We are breaking out the bubbles, sidewalk chalk, digging tools, and light jackets.  I think I will hold off on planting any new flower bulbs or seeds, but as you can see in the pictures, my Daffodils are starting to come up.  Woot!  I‘ll be seeing color soon!

Mister and Sister (and Hubs and I) couldn’t be happier!

Sorry, Phil.
