Pook-A-Looz Review

Who doesn’t love the vintage Disney characters?  Classic Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, and a host of beloved Disney characters get a brand new stylized look in the Pook-a-Looz line created by Disney Consumer Products.  They truly are too cute for their own good.  Disney and Jakks Pacific recently teamed up to produce a brand new line of Pook-A-Looz.  The new line is called Topplers, Walkers, Spinners, and Yappers.  The trendy designs will appeal to avid tween collectors, but Pook-a-Looz is still cute enough for kids of all ages! JAKKS’ CDI division launches novelty products based on the stylized look of Pook-a-Looz, including Pook-a-Looz Wobblers, Yip Yappers, Spinners and Walkers – perfect for collecting, displaying and trading!

We recently received a selection of Pook-A-Looz for review.

Pook-A-Looz

The Pook-A-Looz Wobblers are similar to another wobbling toy that is weighted in the bottom, and pops back up when pushed over.  The Pook-A-Looz Spinner are spinning tops.  In order to get the top to spin, you have to pull the arm.  The Pook-A-Looz Walkers are the cutest wind up toys ever.  The Yip Yappers are fantastic stress relievers on a bad day.

For back-to-school, Pook-a-looz Yappers are on a keychain and feature characters that all school-age kids know and love, from Mickey and Minnie to Buzz Lightyear.  They are perfect for collecting and clipping onto your locker, backpacks, wherever!  Bring them in for show-and-tell or trade with your friends.

Because the toys contains small pieces that may pose choking hazards, they are age rated 5+.  So, I made the kids sit at the table with Brian and I in order to check them out.   The kids, including Brian, enjoyed these novel little toys.  Sister really liked the Yip Yapper Minnie, and I have to say, it is my favorite as well.  Mister liked the Walker Mickey.  Brian enjoyed trying to get the Spinner Minnie to actually spin.  I tried to get it to spin a few times, as well, and rewarded myself with the stinging snap of the string when I was less than coordinated.  The Spinners are definitely not for toddlers!

The Pook-A-Looz are available at WalMart, Toys R Us, and are about $5 each.  They will soon be available at Target, as well.

Learn more about Pook-A-Looz on the Official Pook-A-Looz website or by following them on Twitter.

Disclosure-  I received a selection of Pook-A-Looz toys to facilitate my honest review.  No other compensation was received.  All opinions expressed are 100% my own and are based on my experience.  Your experience may differ.

I am so jealous. We would have loved to get the Minnie toys instead! The Minnie Yapper sounds different from our Tigger one. I love the giggle at the end. Glad to hear we weren’t the only ones injured by the spinners.
