If you’re anything like me, the though of owning your own business and being your own boss is alluring.  It can also be a scary idea!  Supercuts is owned by the Regis Corporation, and is a reputable and affordable.  Supercuts offers franchise opportunities and wants to help you cut the fear out of owning your own business. It could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for!Supercuts Franchise Cut the Fear

Supercuts did a survey of 1000 people, with a net worth of over $200,000, and the results indicate that there are quite a few people dreaming of owning their own business!

    • 56% plan to open or start a business in the next 12-18 months—whether alone or with a partner.
    • 25% are women looking to start their own business.
    • 56% that plan to start a business are planning to have a business partner.
    • 31% that plan to start a business are planning to start the business with a spouse or domestic partner—which accounts for approximately 10% of all respondents.
    • 30% that plan to start a business are planning to start the business with a friend and 26% are going into business with a colleague.
    • Women are more likely to go into business with a spouse or domestic partner than men.

I was surprised that the percentage of women looking to start their own business was only 25%.  I must know a lot of entrepreneurial women, because a lot of women I know would like to have their own business.

I thought this chart, which demonstrates how business partners are likely to be related, was interesting.

I DO own my own business and have for 14 years (come January). I’ve never owned a salon, though. I have thought of opening my own gaming store.

What a great opportunity for someone looking to be self employed. I always say nurses and hair stylists, two people who will never be out of work. We are always going to get sick and we will never stop being vain.

I have never thought about owning my own business, but if I did, a franchise would be the way to go.

Franchises are a really nice way for people to get into business ownership because many franchise have corporate office support and marketing behind them.

A good friend of mine used to sell homes… she got really tired of it, and one day on a whim, bought a salon! She loved it ;)

If I were to buy a franchise, a Supercuts is one that I would definitely consider. :)

I wish I was organized enough to do something like this! I’m totally not, but it’s an awesome opportunity for people.

If the survey targeted $200k and above, as those with the opportunity.. well, that is a reasonable price to pay for a franchise that is known. And, I have been an entrepreneur all of my adult life (and back to when I was a child and trying to charge my parents a quarter to watch their own TV!). I’m with you, Virginia.. It is appealing.

I didn’t realize until recently that they are franchised – love getting our haircuts there!

I had no idea it was so easy to own one of these.

We like to all get together for dinner and then after we eat, we play games in the afternoon. Thanks.
