I am seriously in lurve with my new Canon T3i DSLR, which I purchased recently.
I purchased the kit with the Canon T3i body with the Canon 18-55mm lens, and added the Canon 75-300mm lens.
I snagged these photos at Table Rock Lake with it.
I also bought the Canon 50mm 1.8 lens.
I took this picture of Little Miss with the 50mm lens.
as well as this photo of the rose bush by our garage…
I don’t know all the technical jargon for how the 50mm lens does it, but I love the way it blurs the background (something to do with aperture or what not).
Anyway, I saved for these babies for nearly a year after dropping my old DSLR and damaging it. It wasn’t feasible to repair it, since it was 8+ years old and only 6MP. The T3i is not the newest Canon on the block, since they recently released the Canon T5i, but it does have an 18.0 Megapixel CMOS Image Sensor, plus dull HD video recording, live view shooting, wireless flash photography and even a Vari-angle 3.0-inch LCD monitor.
She’s sweet! Next on my list is a Neewer NW660 Speedlite Flash.
Okay, so I’m a little weird in that I name things. Not everything. Just the things that matter to me. My KitchenAid is named Bella, because she’s beautiful. My minivan is named Azure because she’s blue. My Canon T3i needs a name.
What do you think I should name her?
I think you should name her Tiab – for ” time in a bottle”.
Does the winning name get a prize?
I so want that camera too.. I have been hoping for one.. but when I get close to enough money something always comes up.. I am not sure what you should name it. I’m not very good with that. Maybe Claro since the pictures come out so clear..

Sarah- thanks! We all have sunglasses, which are always with us, but the kids often choose not to wear them. My son has squinted his right eye since he was born and had to have surgery on it to separate the eyelids that were banded together. Virginia
