My Little Pony Party- DIY Rainbow Lollipop Holder

Sister’s favorite My Little Pony is Rainbow Dash, so she wanted her party to be rainbow colored.  I designed her My Little Pony Party Invitations and Banner, then themed the rest of the decorations around it. One of the center pieces that I created for her party was a DIY Rainbow Lollipop Holder.

Now, to make this lollipop holder, you need 4 inch foam cubes.  Of course, you can search all over craft stores for them, but they are cheaper and easier to find on Amazon. 😉

I used some rainbow dotted tissue paper I had left over from my DIY Rainbow Ornaments, but you can use whatever you like.

DIY Rainbow Lollipop Holder

Prior to turning on my trusty mini glue gun, I arranged my rainbow craft sticks in ROY G BV order (indigo was not available) on the counter.  Once I had the rainbow craft sticks laid out in order, I readied my glue gun and started applying the sticks, being careful to align the bottom edge of the craft stick with the bottom edge of the foam cube before the glue dried.  I repeated this until the entire cube was covered.

Once the I had the rainbow cube, I started pushing the lollipop sticks into the foam cube.  After I had them arranged the way I wanted them, I folded a sheet of tissue paper into a one and a half inch band, folding it along the long end of the paper.  I stuck that into the cube around the perimeter, then used scissors to cut about every half inch to create fringe, being careful to only cut down one inch, leaving a half inch of the band intact. I did that so that if it got dropped, I wouldn’t end up with a million tiny pieces of tissue paper on the floor.

This rainbow lollipop holder is perfect for birthdays, St. Patrick’s Day, or My Little Pony parties!
