Munchausen by proxy syndrome (MBPS) is a relatively uncommon condition that involves the exaggeration or fabrication of illnesses or symptoms by a primary caretaker. While More Than It Hurts You receive some very critical reviews, I simply hated to put it down. I finished it in two days flat. Darin Strauss tackles a big subject in MBP and also addresses issues of gender and race subtly and sensitively. This book would make for good book club discussions.
