Kids are made to play!  They have an innate desire to play, and believe it or not, play is essential to all children’s development.  It is a lifelong skill that stimulates imagination, exploration, creativity, curiosity, spontaneity, discovery, and yes– even wonder.  Some of my fondest memories are of playing with my siblings and neighbors.  Which is why I encourage my kids to play- the old-fashioned way. Yes, they have their fair share of video games and movies, but it gives me great joy to watch them outside as they play!  Gymboree’s new line of mix & match styles, Hop ‘N’ Roll, available in sizes 6 months to 10, is perfect for play!

Which is great, since my youngest daughter has two speeds… stop and go.  Seriously, if she’s not on the run, she’s either asleep or refueling!  Because she’s always on the go, it’s important to have clothes that move with her.

Whether she’s trying to jump rope (LOL), going down the slide, riding in the wagon, or making (and eating) dirt cakes, Gymboree’s clothes are cute and comfy.  And since they are affordable, I don’t mind when those dirt cakes turn into mud pies– which they often do!

Because they believe in the power of play, Gymboree is putting their money where their mouth is and partnering with KaBOOM! – a national non-profit organization that works to ensure that all kids have a childhood filled with active play, especially those in underserved communities. From 4/6 – 5/31, Gymboree will be supporting KaBOOM! through a series of programs and activities, with the goal of raising enough money to build a place to play for 10,000 deserving kids in 2015. A percentage of  proceeds from the sales of Hop ‘N’ Roll in-store and online will benefit KaBOOM!

    baby girl should be here any day now so i’d definitely get her some stuff. i’d maybe start with some sparkle piped jeans. and she doesn’t have a swim suit for a trip we are doing at the end of summer so maybe the flamingo rash guard set. so much cute stuff.
