Love Bug Valentine

Need a super cute, super simple, Valentine that even the littlest kiddos can do?  Check out this homemade Love Bug Valentine.  Chances are, you already have everything on hand that you need to make them!

Lovebug Valentines

Here’s what you need.

Pacon Lightweight Construction Paper, 9-Inches by 12-Inches, Assorted Colors, 500 Count (6555)Pacon Lightweight Construction Paper, 9-Inches by 12-Inches, Assorted Colors, 500 Count (6555)Sharpie Permanent Markers, Fine Point, Assorted Colors, 12 CountSharpie Permanent Markers, Fine Point, Assorted Colors, 12 CountFiskars 5 Inch Blunt Kids Scissors 3 Pack, WarmFiskars 5 Inch Blunt Kids Scissors 3 Pack, WarmElmer's Washable School Glue 4 Fl Oz / 118 Ml (Pack of 6)Elmer’s Washable School Glue 4 Fl Oz / 118 Ml (Pack of 6)

Supplies:

  • Construction Paper
  • Scissors
  • Black Marker
  • Glue

Procedure:

  1. First begin by drawing a heart on a piece of red construction paper and cut it out.
  2. On a piece of black paper cut out a dome shape for your lovebug’s head!
  3. Glue the head onto the back of the lovebug where the dip in the heart is
  4. Now, Using a black marker draw a line down the middle of the “body” and add hearts for the lovebug’s spots.
  5. All done! You could add a nice message on the back of your valentine and pass them out to your loved ones!

    Aww!! Those are super cute!
    We painted “love bugs” a few years ago (using rock from the garden) and the kids had a ball.
    Almost forgot them when we moved.
    Will have to add this craft to our list.
