Clearly this is geared more towards younger children…or, it’s supposed to be, but my older girls seem to think they fit inside it perfectly too. Oi. Anyway…
I’ve wanted to get an outdoor play house for my patio for a while. Not only do I have my own toddler, but I watch a couple of toddlers as well, and they don’t get as much satisfaction from drawing on the back patio with sidewalk chalk as older kids might. They just get a bigger kick out of playing pretend than they do expressing themselves artistically!
Once this product arrived- and by arrived, I mean that I came home to the most massive box ever blocking my front door!- I was slightly nervous to tackle the assembly process. I’ve heard from people that these play house things are a major pain to put together and that we should budget at least two hours for assembly. Great. NOT EVEN CLOSE! Whew! This was an absolute breeze to assemble. In fact, the actual assembly took approximately 20 minutes. Want to know what took the longest? Placing the stickers on the assembled structure! Seriously. The play set comes with all the tools needed to assemble the product, which amounts to one special screw driver that they provide. The directions were easy to follow and the pictures were informative and helpful.
Little Ms. A (and the kids I watch) love this little cottage! We’ve had many picnics out back in the cottage (not me, just them), and they love pretending that they are taking care of their own house! The cottage has been outside for a couple of weeks and withstood some serious bad weather as well as very extreme heat and I see no evidence of damage or warping.
I’m SO happy with this addition to our back yard!
