I agreed to review Little Sweet Pea, God Loves You because one of K’s nicknames is Sweet Pea. I thought it would be a cute way to tell her how special she is to us. It is that, and so much more.
Little Sweet Pea, God Loves You is beautifully written, and the illustrations are full of whimsy and fun.
My favorite line in the book is, “When you were born, God smiled with pride then placed you gently by my side.” What a beautiful sentence to describe the love with which God adds a child to a family. And the way it is written, it applies to children both born into and adopted into the family.
This book features rhyme, which is always fun. It is a perfect read aloud for parents, grandparents or other loved one to share with the littles in their lives.
This book is a perfect gift for baby showers, new arrivals, adoption parties, baptisms, birthdays, or any other occasion where you celebrate the love you have for a child. Honestly, you should order two copies today. One to keep, and one to give away!
