Little Scholars Tablet Review Plus Giveaway (11/24)

Share the love!

I’ve mentioned it before, and I know I will mention it again: I have three girls. Lovely, amazing, smart, funny girls…who are addicted to technology. I don’t think that I am the only mom whose kids are addicted to anything that involves a screen of some sort. In fact, I think that it is a (regrettable, maybe even sad) reality of our time that everything that entertains our kids is done so via a screen. Don’t even get me started on why more kids are obese today than they were 20 years ago, because I have a sneaking suspicion that it has to do with this screen addiction, but that is a post for another time.

Anyway, like many parents, I struggle with finding things for my kids that will double as both entertainment and education. We have my MacBook, iPods, and iPhones, and can access educational website and apps geared toward each of our kids age/skill groups (3rd grade, 1st grade, and pre-school), however, they don’t seem to hold my kids’ attention for more than 10 minutes at a time.

Recently I had the opportunity to review the Little Scholar Tablet. Ya’ll…I love it, but more importantly my kids love it (score!). Let me tell you a bit about this amazing educational (and entertaining…double score!) product. The Little Scholar Tablet combines over 35 years of educational support and experience into one convenient location that is easy to navigate and accessible to kids. It comes fully-loaded with over 200 fun and educational apps (focused on core educational areas like math, reading, and spelling), books, songs, and videos (all designed by educators based on years of combined experience), as well as a camera and the A+ app that allows parents to conveniently track their kids progress and guild their kids’ learning.

tablet 3Tablet 1 tablet 2

Just so I am clear: when I say it comes loaded with over 200 items, what I mean is that parents won’t have to set anything up, purchase anything additional to load onto the tablet (although they do have the option to load more), or connect the tablet to wi-fi. What the heck?! It was READY TO GO STRAIGHT FROM THE BOX! Happy dance! The Little Scholar Tablet is designed for kids ages pre-school through first grade (and programs are organized according to grade level), features an 8-inch touch screen, and runs on the Google Android 4.2.2 operating system. Very high tech!

Bottom line: my first grader LOVES this product (as do her sisters, although technically they are too old and too young, respectively, for the product), and I feel good about allowing her to “entertain” herself with it! The Little Scholar Tablet is now on sale at Toys R Us and retails for $149.99-$199.99. This would make an amazing Christmas gift for your kids or a wise educational investment for families dedicated to giving their kids a leg up educationally!

About Abby

Hey, all! My name is Abby. I am thirty years old and I live near St. Louis with my amazing family: my hot husband, and my three lovely daughters K (9 years), M (7 years), and A (2 yrs). I have the privilege of staying at home with my three girls and I wouldn’t change it for the world! Some of our hobbies include, but are not limited to: coloring, taking nature walks where we pick up every. single. bug. and blow every. single. dandelion. (No really- to live the carefree life of a child!), and play dress-up. My husband and I are youth pastors at our church, and I am currently training for my first half marathon! Yikes!
