I’ve never used a kitchen time other than the one on my microwave u can use the timer without running it

Ive melted quite a few things, mostly the lid to the butter tub LOL
I used my microwave until my MIL bought me a cupcake timer. I like this one though!
Sad about the old one…cool about the new one. I have never owned an official timer before. I always use the microwave one.
