When it comes to teenagers, there is a very fine line between what is considered cool and what is considered cheesy. Tweens and teens are a special breed, and for that matter, it is important to plan your Teen Girl’s Spa Party accordingly.

Don’t be afraid to draw party inspiration from trends – after all, teenagers are attracted to popularity. Skim through the teen magazines to get a feel for this season’s most sought after color combinations. Are there any patterns that are incredibly stylish? Chevron and tribal prints are all the rage amongst fashion designers, so if you are looking for a great way to catch the attention of your teenage guests, stick with a theme and spa party decorations.

Plan your activities for the party, and allow sufficient time for each activity. Generally speaking, a spa themed party should incorporate relaxation and beauty. Encourage a short quiet time or devotional – beauty is just as much about the spiritual condition as it is about our physical bodies.
Make sure you have a way to enhance the party with background music that is appropriate for each activity. Soothing waters and a tranquil melody are great for the relaxation portion, but when it comes to the beauty and fashion parts, teens love to be led with upbeat rhythm.
A spa party wouldn’t be a spa party without manicures! For manicures, offer a paraffin spa, a moisturizing hand cream, nail buffers, and nail polish.

You may also want to offer pedicures. To do this, you’ll need a foot spa, some foot soak (I love Epsom’s), toe separators, and pedicure flip flops.

A DIY foot scrub with can soothe achy feet, while a footscrub can help them unwind!
Face masks and foot scrubs are also a great way to treat your guests to some enjoyable pampering.
Provide an array of lotions, nail polish, and various cosmetics so your attenders can pick and choose which items will best suit their personal style.
Consider providing make-up application tips based on skin type and face shape. Encourage the girls to experiment with different techniques, but the age-old phrase still holds true, “Less is more.” Although society tells us that external beauty is important, scripture shows that internal grace and elegance are far more attractive.
Research popular hair styles and provide the girls with step by step instructions for how to achieve today’s most popular looks.
Consider staging a mock photo shoot or a booth for before/after pictures. Capturing their makeover through the art of photography is a great way to boost confidence and provide the girls with something to take home.

If you want to send them home with their photos, invest in a camera that you can print directly from.

When it comes to the food, choose snack options that are healthy and have a reputation for promoting healthy skin. If you are promoting confidence and beauty, your outward appearance is a direct reflection of how you fuel your body. Raw fruits and veggies are always an easy choice, but you could also consider serving cucumber sandwiches, granola, low fat cheese, and whole grain crackers or chips.
Make your teenage girls feel extra special by concocting a signature (non-alcoholic, of course) drink. Nothing makes a teen feel more sophisticated than a fancy beverage that is served in a decorative fashion.
When the party is over, send each girl home with a goody bag of beauty essentials. Mini-nail polishes, manicure sets, diy lip balms with essential oils, or hand cream make great party favors for a spa party. Don’t have time to DIY your lip balm? Burt’s Bees is always a winner.

Virginia these are some great ideas and I love that you give importance to much more than outer beauty but suggesting a devotional time, and healthy foods to make this party a healthy mind body and spirit experience. I love to make fun times educational as well without being preachy in any way.
