Amazon Prime Documentaries

You better believe that Amazon Prime is chalk full of documentaries. Documentaries are great for kids of any age. Whether they’re learning about how something is built or they want to know the truth behind something historical that happened. There are tons of documentaries happening with Amazon Prime Video! Any video that has “Prime” next to it is free!

Historical documentaries worth checking out:

Amazon Prime Educational Shows

Amazon Prime Video is a large part of our homeschooling. Almost any educational show you can think of can be found on Prime. It’s nice already having this aresenol of educational videos ready anytime we want. Plus, since Amazon Video can be downloaded to various devices, which means your kids can easily learn on the go. Name one homeschool family that isn’t on the go.
Some of our favorite educational series include:

Amazon Music

Another great reason to use Prime to homeschool is for the music. We love listening to music throughout our day! Some days it’s worship music and other days it’s classical music. I love that it’s easy to pull up and find whatever song I’m looking for too. Plus, it doesn’t cost us anymore than what we’re already paying.

Amazon Prime Reading

Did you even know this is a thing? It is! Prime reading is something you can take advantage of as a homeschooling family with Prime. Just think you have access to over a thousand books and magazines. As much as we love the library, it’s nice to be able to pull up a book or magazine. Sometimes the books are for pleasure reading and other times it’s to go along with something we’re learning in school. Our kids love reading on their kids kindle devices, and I have to say, it was worth the investment! I also have a Kindle Unlimited membership, so we have access to even more book!

Free 2-Day Shipping for Curriculum

If you’ve ever bought homeschool curriculum, you know it can get expensive, especially if you’re going to pay shipping! I buy a lot of the books we use for homeschooling on Amazon. When I buy from Amazon and use Prime, I can get the shipping taken care of, which is pretty awesome. I can also buy manipulatives and more from Amazon and it gets shipped free using Prime.

I’m always looking for ways to minimize the expenses of homeschooling.  Having one membership that benefits the entire family and home AND reduces our homeschool budget is awesome!

There are even more ideas to keep your homeschool budget in grip in my Free Homeschool Curriculum and Resources post. Be sure to check out  my homeschool printable tab, too!
