Home Study Autobiographies

I mentioned that we want to build our family through adoption. We finished up our Home Study Autobiographies.  It’s so hard writing an autobiography for an adoption homestudy and not feel like you’re begging someone to let you raise their child! Now we just have to photocopy everything so that we can get it mailed.

We had friends over for dinner this evening.  They have two kids, one of which is adopted, the other is homegrown.  We wanted a chance to talk with them about their adoption experience.

The evening was so much fun.  I made cranberry chicken, which they enjoyed.  They brought chocolate cake, which I enjoyed.  LOL.

It was great to get to hear about their experience with the adoption process.  They had quite a few ups and downs, and I think that their friendship will help us get by as we go through the process ourselves.

It was so neat to see Mister playing with their kids, although he currently has NO concept of sharing.  LOL.  It’s a good thing that they do, because they did so well!

They also gave us the number of the attorney that they used for their adoption.  I have a feeling I’ll be making some phone calls tomorrow.

Be blessed!
