H2O Go Double Slider Review

I have been waiting for weeks to be able to use this product so that I could review it.  Literally.  Weeks.  We’ve had the oddest summer weather this year!  Weeks and weeks of unseasonably cool weather that prohibited outdoor water play, followed by weeks of crazy amounts of rain that soaked the ground to the point that I couldn’t let the girls outside to play because they sunk down into the earth.  Bonkers.  So, FINALLY it has been warm AND dry enough to get out the H2O Go Double Slider!  Woot!  I’d like to point out, before I formally review this product, that I achieved “Best Mom” status by whipping this baby out.  Sorry to all you other moms.  Just kidding!

So let’s get to this review.  The H2O Go is basically a beefed up version of the water slide of my childhood with a few key differences: first, it has two lanes so that more than one child can slide at one time and said children could, if they are competitive, race to the end; the hose attaches to the side of the slide so that there is constant water sprinkling onto the slide and pooling at the end; the top of the slide has a blow up area that is essentially a cushion that the child falls onto preventing injury and providing downward momentum onto the slide; and the base of the slide has a “pool” which is not only fun to slide into, but provides a buffer from sliding off the end of the slide into the grass.

H2O Go Double Slide

I have to admit that my memories of backyard water slides, while fun, are tinged with fear because I remember 1) hitting the ground with way too much force and getting the wind knocked out of me, and 2) gobs of bruises from slipping on the things.  So, I was nervous to let my girls play on this thing because all we need here at the end of the summer is a trip to the ER with a broken wrist, right?  My fears in this situation were unfounded, as my children not only had a blast, but sustained no injuries.  I attribute this to the pillow at the top of the slide buffering them as they flung themselves onto the slide.  Score one for the double slider!

Double Slide from H2O Go

The product itself was easy to set up and simple to use.  Once the pillow is inflated, you simply attach the hose to the slide, turn on the water, and wait for the slide to fill up and start sprinkling the slide!  Easy peasy.  The constant water prevented the plastic from getting too hot for little feet, and also prevented rug burn type injuries from sliding on a sticky surface; the two lane design prevented sibling fighting, resulting in a much more enjoyable afternoon of outside play.  Score two for the double slider!  My only beef with this product is that after one use a spot at the end of the pool section- an area that fills with water but has tiny holes so that water sprays up and into the pool- had a tear and needed to be patched.  I understand that popping and holes are inevitable with this type of product, but I’d hoped to make it through more than one afternoon without needing to use the one provided patch.  Subsequent uses of the slide haven’t resulted in any more tears, so fingers crossed that it stays that way!

The H2O Go water slides are available in single, double and triple lane varieties, and can be purchased online through Amazon or in Walmart stores.

About Abby

Hey, all! My name is Abby. I am thirty years old and I live near St. Louis with my amazing family: my hot husband, and my three lovely daughters K (9 years), M (7 years), and A (2 yrs). I have the privilege of staying at home with my three girls and I wouldn’t change it for the world! Some of our hobbies include, but are not limited to: coloring, taking nature walks where we pick up every. single. bug. and blow every. single. dandelion. (No really- to live the carefree life of a child!), and play dress-up. My husband and I are youth pastors at our church, and I am currently training for my first half marathon! Yikes!
