We received complimentary accommodations at Grand Country Inn as part of #ExploreBranson, a promotional blogger tour of Branson, MO, through the US Family Guide. All experiences and opinions are my own.
Our family piled in the van to drive to Branson, Missouri for an extended weekend for Father’s Day Weekend. While we’ve been to Branson before, it had been several years since we last went, and it was high time we go again. We were excited because we would be staying at the Grand Country Inn. Grand Country Inn is part of the Grand Country Resort properties.
You could literally spend a week at Grand Country and never get bored without leaving the property! Grand Country Resort features a family amusement center with loads of arcade games and bumper cars, 36-hole indoor mini-golf, black light mini-golf, three live shows daily, and so much more. Grand Country Inn also features Splash Country, which is their interactive indoor and outdoor water park that is free for guests, as well as indoor and outdoor pools. Mealtimes can be enjoyed at the Grand Country Buffet, or you can stop by the Grand Country Fudge and Sweets Shoppe for the ones with a sweet tooth!
We had a room with two double beds. It wasn’t anything super fancy, but it was clean and suited our needs just fine. There was a television (which we only used once to catch the tail end of a ball game), a microwave and dorm sized refrigerator, as well as a small table with two chairs. There was enough room to use our Joovy Room² Portable Playard for Little Miss, too. The only thing I thought odd was the placement of the single cup coffee pot on the counter. It was stored on the side of the counter without an outlet, but it was small enough that it wasn’t a big deal to move to the outlet to brew a cup of coffee.
We had to shoo Little Miss away from the tissue holder more than once, since it was at her eye level, but I think most kids under two would have been drawn to it. LOL.
On our last trip to Branson, we visited Splash Country, the indoor/outdoor water park at Grand Country Inn. The water park is free for guests, but tickets can also be purchased by those not staying at the hotel. It has a 250ft Lazy River as well as a treehouse, a basketball play pool, a toddler pool, and separate hot tubs for kids and adults. Sweet. Sister was a baby the last time we visited Splash Country, so we were interested to see how much well the oldest two would enjoy it now that they were old enough to actually play with more independence. They LOVED it. In fact, once we went in, I didn’t see much of Mister at all, except when he came to check in with us periodically. Little Miss enjoyed herself, too, although she wasn’t a fan of the big bucket dumping. As long as I moved her when it was going to dump, she was fine.
I am not sure who’s idea it was to put a water park in the hotel, but it was sheer brilliance. Seriously, my kids always want to go swimming on vacation, and Splash Country kicked it up a notch (or five) on enjoyment value!
Check out Grand Country on Facebook to see all their updates and specials. Right now Grand Country has their Grand Country Summer Fun Family Vacation Package, which is a great value! For less than $300, you get 2 nights lodging at Grand Country Inn, Splash Country passes, tickets to 2 shows of your choice (choose from Amazing Pets, Down Home Country, Comedy Jamboree, or Grand Jubilee), 18 holes of blacklight or farm mini gold, a $10 Fun Spot swipe card, and two large one topping pizzas.
You’d be hard pressed to find a better deal! Grand Country was the perfect getaway for an extended weekend for Father’s Day. We hope to visit Branson again soon, and would certainly book a stay at Grand Country Resort again! I hope we can find a great deal like this one when the time comes!

I love when hotels have a splash park too. That makes a hotel stay a vacation in itself for the kiddos. 🙂
It looks like you guys had a great time- as always:) I love the pictures of Little Miss getting into the tissue box!

That looks like a great time, fun waterpark would let the family have a good time for hours. Looks like there are lots of things to do in Branson.
That looks like a very fun trip! I also find it odd that they kept the coffee maker not near an outlet, you might have wanted a cup of coffee when you first got to the room, little bit of poor planning there.
