What do you see when you look in the mirror? Have you ever wondered what God sees when He looks at you? How would your life change, if you were able to see yourself through God’s eyes? Join me in discovering what God’s Word says about how He sees you with the Godly Reflections Devotional Journal.
Broken Reflections
I turned 21 on January 31,1997. That night, I issued God an ultimatum. Either He would change my life by April 1st, or I would end it. I was done playing the fool. I’d had a miscarriage and ended an abusive relationship. I had two jobs and was a full time college student, so I’d often go for days without sleep. I was depressed. I struggled with suicidal ideation. I developed disordered eating. I started having panic attacks. I’d been mocked much of my life because of my appearance, and had come to despise my reflection. Thankfully, on March 9th, Jesus met me where I was and I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior. As time marched forward, I learned that I’d been looking at my life through a fractured lens, which meant all i could see was broken reflections.
Godly Reflections
Some things changed immediately when I committed my life to Jesus. I stopped smoking. I stopped drinking. I was set free from depression. In fact, I never had another suicidal thought. I vowed I wouldn’t date again until I was sble to comprehend the love of God.
Other things didn’t change right away. I continued to have panic attacks, for several years. And it took me years to learn to see myself as God sees me… as a woman of worth, beauty, and intelligence.
The verses I’ve included in the Godly Reflections Devotional Journal are some of the verses that helped me see past the broken reflections and learn to see the Godly Reflections in my life. There are two versions of the journal. Both have the 31 day reading plan.
Godly Reflections Devotional Journal with Daily Verse
The first has 31 Scripture study sheets, which each have the daily verse printed at the bottom of the page in either the NIV or NIRV translation.
Godly Reflections Devotional Journal with Coordinating Study Sheets
The second has two coordinating study sheets that do not have the verse printed at the bottom, so you can use whichever translation you prefer.
Both the Godly Reflections Devotional with 31 Scripture Study Sheets and the Godly Reflections Reflections Devotional with Coordinating Study Sheets are available at no charge to subscribers.

Best Way to Use the Godly Reflections Devotional Journal
The Scripture Study Sheet in each journal includes a place for you to record the date, what you are praying for, and what you are grateful for. I challenge you to list at least one thing you’re praying for each day and at least one thing you are grateful for. The sheet also has a place for you to write the daily Scripture, a place for your observations, and a place for writing out how the verse applies to your life. Don’t skip the application. If you’re going to use God’s word to see pass distorted reflections, you have to be able to apply His word to your life.
It’s my prayer that these verses will help you as much as they’ve helped me.
I also be posted verse images on my That Bald Chick Instagram Page when I originally published this, so be sure to follow me there for those!
