Sister loves animals, so I often find myself trying to incorporate animal themed things into our homeschool day. When I saw the game,  Go Oink!, from Patch Products, I knew it would be the perfect addition to our game shelf.

Go Oink!

Go Oink! is a card game, similar to Go Fish, that is silly and can get loud.  The goal is to get sets of three cards that match, and there are 17 sets (51 cards total) in the game.  Rather than asking for cards by the animal name, you ask for cards by their animal sound.  So, instead of saying “May I have a frog?” you would say “May I have a ribbit, ribbit.”  The more like the animal you sound, the funnier it is.  If the person that you ask has the card, they must fork it over.  If they don’t they tell you to “Go Oink!” and you have to draw from the deck in the middle.  The cards come in a pink pig storage case, adding to it’s charm.  It is recommended for ages 4+ and is for 2-6 players.

To say that Mister and Sister go wild for this game would be an understatement.  They absolutely love it, and have literally played it every day since I unwrapped it.  They even play without me!

Since Sister is in preschool, we’ve used this game to reinforce colors, animal sounds, counting, and cooperative play.

Go Oink! retails for $9.99 and is available from Patch Products  and on Amazon. This card game is perfect for gift giving and would make a great stocking stuffer, as it will keep the kids squealing with fun for hours!

Keep up with Patch Products on Facebook and follow Patch Products on Twitter for other fun products and specials.

Why go fish, when you can Go Oink!
