Little Miss recently celebrated her first birthday, and we chose a whimsical bee for her First Bee Day Party Decor and theme. It turned out WAY cuter than even I could have imagined.
Totally buzz worthy, right? I thought so! You have to get a closer look at some of these elements. SO stinging cute!
I used a white table cloth, then layered handkerchiefs (black, yellow, and pink/white polkadot) on the dessert table as the base. My sister picked up some really cute beehive candles for me, which were so stinging cute with the beehive toothpick holder, bee magnets, and bee shelf sitter figurines that I ordered from Oriental Trading. I affixed bee cut outs to pink tissue pom poms and to glass vases filled with layers of yellow and black Sixlets. I used trimmed Styrofoam with yellow ribbon to hold the bee-u-tiful cake pops I made. Pink and black plates were complimented by yellow silverware wrapped in black napkins then festooned with a pink and white polka dot strip of scrapbook paper. I used the same scrapbook paper on the Sixlet vases. Finally, I hung some “Happy First Bee-Day” balloons, and stuffed my clear acrylic ornaments (that I used with the Rainbow Party Decor) with pink, black, and yellow tulle. I affixed a bee shadow to each and then hung them with pink curling ribbon. Yellow, black, and pink crepe paper provided accent in various places.
Super cute, right?
I’ll bee sharing our Bee Party Food and Bee Party Games and Goodie Bags in another post.
