This is a sponsored campaign in partnership with VolunteerSpot and Acorn Influence.  Opinions (and event planning) are my own.

Have you ever been put in charge of planning an event and nearly lost your mind trying to keep track of who said what in the rubble of the “reply all” emails, digital and paper planners, event reminders via email and Facebook, and the occasional “put me down, I’ll be there” muttered by someone in passing?  It can be extremely frustrating to keep track of who has signed up, who has been assigned to what, and what has yet to be assigned. Not anymore!  I just discovered VolunteerSpot, which includes free virtual sign-up sheets and volunteer tracking tools to help event organizers put all details in one place.  ONE. PLACE.

Volunteer Interest Sign-Up

VolunteerSpot aims to help people save time and money by creating a simple one-stop-shop for all scheduling and fundraising needs.  The basic services  of VolunteerSpot are free and include unlimited online sign up sheets, a planning wizard, automated email reminders, electronic calendar sync, smartphone sign up, printable rosters, and the ability export data, and more.

As the Women’s Ministry Director at my church, I am responsible for planning events for our women, including our annual Christmas Party, which is a potluck style event.  To pull it off smoothly, I need women to volunteer as set up crew, greeters, kitchen help, game leaders, and clean up crew. Planning the party with VolunteerSpot is easy.  First I set up the event.

Then I add the spots that I need filled.

Once my spots were created, I simply used the email feature and the link creator to send an invitation to sign up.  Within minutes I had several spots filled!

Christmas Party VolunteerSpot

I decided that I needed one more person in the kitchen than I originally planned, and it was easy to adjust the spots available.

Now I can easily keep track of who signs up for what and know at a glance what still needs to be filled. Whether planning a simple day of shopping with the women of the church, or planning our annual Christmas party, VolunteerSpot makes organizing these events simple and saves me time.  Plus, VolunteerSpot is available on mobile- which means I can keep track on the go! As a Sanguine, I am chronically disorganized, so if there’s anything I need in my life, it’s a little more organization! I’m eager to use VolunteerSpot for planning all of our upcoming events.
