I was recently asked to review the Epson LabelWorks™ LW-600P Portable Label Printer and I anxiously awaited the arrival of this new machine. Those of you who know me, know I am very organized. I really thought this tool would be perfect for me, especially with the hope and promise of how easy it would be to operate! When the label printer came I was very excited!
The label printer came with two different cartridges. One cartridge makes half inch labels, and the other makes half inch iron on labels for your children’s clothing. The battery-operate LW-600P can print wirelessly from iOS and Android devices, via Bluetooth. So I used my iPhone. I just download the Epson iLabel app and I used the app to create my labels. This compact printer can also print from Windows® and Mac systems via a USB cable. I searched the Internet for different black and white clip arts to add to my labels. I found a flower for my daughter, and even found my son’s school mascot.
I have to say this machine has not disappointed me. It is easier to use than any label machine I have ever used AND has the added benefit of portable wireless printing. You can preview your design before you print, which saves money on your labels because you’re not wasting prints that went wrong. I don’t know any other label maker that will let you put in your own icons, which is great because I was able to label my pantry with a cute personalized icon. The iLabel app I downloaded also comes with several icons you can use, if you don’t have your own. I simply love the Epson LabelWorks Portable Label Printer. In just a few short hours I have accomplished so much. Oh no! I’m out of sticky labels… I’m going to have to buy more.
As I mentioned, you can also get an Iron-On Kit for the Epson LabelWorks Portable Label Printer. My daughter has a couple pieces of clothing that are my favorite (did you see my French Toast review?) and I am so excited that I can now make sure that these will never get lost. It really was very easy. I simply designed my image in the Epson iLabel app, then I clicked and printed the label and trimmed it up. I placed the label where I wanted it, then I put a washcloth over the top of iron on label and ironed it on. It’s just. that. simple. See…
