DIY Thanksgiving Centerpiece

I’ve been wanting to create a DIY Thanksgiving Centerpiece for my mantel for quite some time.  I finally figured out what I wanted to do, and found the time to do it!  It all started as an excuse  pick up a few four packs of Starbucks Iced Coffee and an excuse to go to Michaels.  No, I didn’t really NEED an excuse, but anyway!  After I polished off my Iced Coffee, I removed the bottle labels and sent the bottles through the dishwasher.  I put the caps in my craft supplies, as I have another idea in mind for them.

How to Turn Iced Coffee Bottles into a Centerpiece

I cut strips of colored burlap long enough to slightly overlap, then used my hot glue gun to secure them onto the bottles. Once I had my bottles wrapped and my flowers cut the way I wanted them, I set them aside and used my diecutting machine to cut out the letters from chipboard.  If you don’t have a cutting machine like mine, you can pick up chipboard letters at your local craft store.  Then I used hot glue to affix them to my wrapped bottles, let it dry, and then put them on my mantel for display!

DIY Thanksgiving Centerpiece

Eeek!  It turned out so well! I’ll be using this one for years to come!

Want a Thanksgiving centerpiece but don’t have time to make it? I’ve got you covered!

Oh, I love the way these turned out. This makes me want to drag my Cricut out and dust it off! I could totally see some twine wrapped around them as well.

How neat! I don’t have one of these, but I have heard people rave and rave about them. I can easily see why. By the way, I love how you have everything decorated on the shelf. :)

I love your centerpiece! I’m a scrapbooker and I’ve always wanted a Cricut. I’d use it for making titles on my pages and I’m sure a lot more.
