Cuisinart Food Processor

I just received and un-boxed my new Cuisinart DLC-2009CHB Prep 9 9-Cup Food Processor, Brushed Stainless machine!

This bad boy retails for $270, but it is on sale on Amazon right now for HALF OFF!  Plus, you get free shipping!

I’ve dreamed of owning a Cuisinart… now I do.

I have to confess… I am slightly intimidated by it.  I’ve never owned a kitchen appliance that came with instructions on how to un-box it.  Apparantly, the blades are super sharp, and Cuisinart wants you to be safe!

Just before Christmas, I used our old food processor to make homemade mounds bars.  Apparently, the poor motor was not built for that, which I learned when a flame leaped from the motor and our kitchen filled with smoke.  Oops.

So, I browsed and browsed food processors.  I asked forum buddies.  I looked at some in the stores.  I had my heart set on Cuisinart, but no way could I spend $270 on a food processor!

Thankfully, I didn’t have to!

Now I can make Homemade Mounds Bars again.  I’ll share that recipe in another post!

Ellie- I will definitely share pictures and the recipe soon. The bars are in the freezer setting up, and just need to be dipped. Yum.
