Sister loves horses and books, so when I received the opportunity to review Conrad and the Cowgirl Next Door, by Denette Fretz, from Zondervan I couldn’t help but say yes. Conrad and the Cowgirl Next Door is a story about Conrad, a city slicker, who faces the challenge of a know-it-all cowgirl next door during his summer of cowboy training.
Conrad goes to Uncle Clint’s ranch to learn to be a cowboy and finds that learning to be a cowboy is a lot harder- and more painful- than he’d ever imagined. He has a lot to learn about the rules of being a cowboy– like not squatting with your spurs on and not waving a red shirt at a bull. The know-it-all cowgirl next door, Imogene Louise Lathrup, proves to be a bigger challenge than learning all the cowboy rules. When she’s around, Imogene is too thrilled to point out every little thing that Conrad is doing wrong.
This story is seriously cute and humorous, and a great means of talking about what it means to love your neighbor. It’s also a great conversation starter about not acting like a know it all, even when you do know more than your friends.
Sister absolutely adores the illustrations and this book has quickly become a favorite.

This sounds like a very cute book and maybe provides a few learning experiences for the little. It looks like the illustrations will probably be very nice. Thank you for sharing
