I’ve served in our church’s youth ministry, in the Senior High, for a couple of years now and thoroughly enjoy it. The opportunity to have a positive impact on the girls in our senior high group has been a tremendous blessing to me. This summer, I am going to do something that I have NEVER done before… I am going to serve as a group leader for some of our girls at our church district’s Senior High Camp. I am SO excited to be going! I only went to church camp once when I was growing up. I was thirteen. I still remember how much that week at camp meant to me, and I am hoping that the week I take these girls to camp will have the same kind of lasting impression on them. With that in mind, I’ve made some Camp Goodie Bags that I plan to give to them on our trip.
Of course, you need a bag for a goodie bag, right? I found these Color Your Own Butterfly Backpacks on Oriental Trading that I thought would be a lot of fun.
They can color them during the van ride or during down time with the retractable permanent markers I picked up to put in each backpack.
I wanted to include a devotion of God’s Promises for women and found copy of God’s Heart for You by Janice Hanna for each of them.
I’m including composition notebooks for them to use as journals.
Of course, there may be rainy days at camp, so I thought some non-toxic nail polish from NUBAR would fit the bill. The limited edition Royal George Blue and Royal Charlotte Pink come in mini bottles sells for just $5. How cute are those, right?
I have a few weeks before we leave, so I think I’ll add some lip balm to the bags, as well.
What would include in a Camp Goodie Bag for Senior High Girls?
