We received admission to The Butterfly Palace & Rainforest Adventure as part of #ExploreBranson, a promotional blogger tour of Branson, MO, through the US Family Guide. All experiences and opinions are my own.
Butterfly’s have a lot of symbolic meaning. The struggle for beauty, to break out of the shell, that without the struggle, the flight cannot happen. I cannot help but be awed by butterfly’s when I see them. I recently had the opportunity to see quite a lot of butterflies when we visited The Butterfly Palace & Rainforest Adventure in Branson, Missouri.
The Butterfly Palace’s exotic butterfly aviary is only part of the attraction! There is also a Living Rainforest Science Center, a Rainforest Theater, the Emerald Forest Mirror Maze, and the Banyan Tree Bungee Adventure.
We stopped in the Rainforest Adventure section first, where Mister and Sister were thrilled to see live frogs, newts, turtles, and more. Mister was enamored with the simulated frog dissection and repeated the dissection no less than five times. From there, Hubs took the kids through the Emerald Forest Mirror Maze and the Banyan Tree Bungee Adventure. I didn’t go in the mirror maze because I have issues with my eyes and didn’t think I would enjoy it. The kids LOVED it and made Daddy take them through several times.
Little Miss adored the Banyan Tree Bungee Adventure and I was thrilled that it was something she could enjoy outside of the stroller or wrap. She’d go in and turn back around to look at us to see if anyone was coming in after her. It was super cute.
We spent the bulk of our time in the Exotic Butterfly Aviary. The kid loved that binoculars, magnifying glasses, and explorer hats were provided for their adventure. The were absolutely thrilled to get up close and personal with a Blue Monarch. Even Little Miss enjoyed the aviary!
I’ve been to butterfly exhibits before, and have always wanted to walk away with at least one spectacular photograph of a butterfly. It happened this time!
Squee! Look at his eye!! The only thing that would have made this photo any better would have been to get his proboscis in focus, too! I guess I can’t have it all, right?
This is one attraction that I would visit again and again and again.
