Did you watch the Simpson’s back in the day?  Do you remember Bart’s old saying,  “Nobody better lay a finger on my Butterfinger!” ?  I can pretty much guarantee that grown up Bart would not only approve of this recipe, but would insist on it being made again… and frequently!

Butterfinger Pretzel Bark Ingredients

Butterfinger Bark Directions

Step 1

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

You can use any size baking sheet you want, really.

That said, to make a single large batch (using the entire pack of almond bark), I’ve found that these aluminum half sheet pans are the best.

At 13 x 18 x 1 inches, you can easily make a single large batch or two smaller batches on the same sheet.

Step 2

Place your pretzels into a zippie bag and seal.

Using a rolling pin or mallet, break into pieces.   Set aside.

Step 3

Break your vanilla almond bark into pieces along the scores.

Place all pieces into a microwave safe measuring cup.

I use an 8 cup Pyrex measuring cup.

Microwave the almond bark for 90 seconds and stir.

Microwave additional 15 seconds at a time until melted smooth.

Step 4

Spread the melted almond bark onto your parchment.  Here’s why I use the Pyrex measuring cup. It’s so easy to pour it out!

Step 5

Sprinkle the Butterfinger Baking Bits liberally over the melted almond bark, followed by your pretzel bits. Use the back of a spoon or a spatula (aka bowl scraper) to press the Butterfinger Bits and the pretzel bits into the melted almond bark.

Step 6

Refrigerate for 30 minutes to set.

Step 7

Remove from refrigerator.  Either cut or break apart by hand.  You may want to store it in an air tight container, though chances are, it won’t last very long.
