The kidlets and I headed to St. Louis Zoo today for a day of fun filled learning. I just love that we have such a wonderful zoo so close by. We are zoo members, so last minute trips to the zoo are right up our alley.
Although it’s Shark Week at the zoo, the kids were more interested in heading to Red Rock to see the giraffes, which we did not get to see on our last visit. They also wanted to ride the train, which we skipped last time, too.
An emergency stop of the train provided a great photo op for us. Glad everything was okay!
While at the zoo, we stopped into the Build-A-Bear Workshop. I instructed Mister and Sister that they could either choose an outfit for the animals they stuffed the last time we visited Build A Bear or they could choose an animal to stuff. Mister chose a 4 pc. St. Louis Cardinals™ Uniform
for the bear that he stuffed previously. Sister chose to stuff a Zebra
from the zoo collection. The Build-A-Bear Workshop at the St. Louis Zoo carries a line of animals that are generally exclusive to the zoos, though for a limited time you can get the zebra online.
After we returned home, Mister promptly dressed his bear and they had to show off their new treasures!
Then Sister decided that my surprise lilies would make perfect zebra food…
Say what?
Mister is already plotting planning which animal he wants to get on our next visit.

Cute, I wish we had a zoo closer by. If we did I would buy yearly memberships because my kids love animals so much.
