This is by far the easiest review I’ve ever written because this product is amazing and it works!! Like every new Mom there are a few things I worry about when putting my little Jo to sleep. First is how hard it can be to get her to actually calm down and shut those sweet eyes, Secondly I want her to be warm and cozy while sleeping but with all the new studies out about SIDS, I do not put any blankets on her while sleeping and because of that, thirdly I am then worried she is cold all night.
Baby Deedee sleep nest has solved all of my worries in one product. They are a cocoon or sleeping bag like suit that a baby can wear to keep them cozy, warm and feeling secure while sleeping. Baby Deedee has many amazing products but I tried the Baby Deedee Sleep Nest and Baby Deedee Sleep Nest Lite.
Both are made of 100% cotton and are super soft. The sleep nest lite feels like a tee shirt material and the sleep nest is soft and cushy like a duvet for a bed. The sleep nest is ideal for fall and winter months, while the sleep nest lite is suited for spring and summer. They are intended to be worn over regular sleepwear with a room temperature of 67-74 degrees for the sleep nest and 70-80 degrees for the lite version.
I love that there are two options on how to put your child into the sleep nest. Both straps unsnap at the top so that you can gently slide your baby into the nest if they are already sound asleep in your arms before bed or you are able to use the zipper that separates the nest in half.
The zipper zips from top to bottom instead of bottom to top. I like this option because it gives me easy access to change my daughter’s diaper in the middle of the night without fully waking her up because of a chill. The zipper also has a flap that completely covers its back from top to bottom so that your baby is only in contact with soft cotton.
The sleep nest comes in many different colors and range in sizes from small 0-6, medium 6-18 and large 18-36 months. They wash up easily and I haven’t had any shrinkage issues even though they are 100% cotton.
The sleep nest has been a game changer when it comes to my daughters nap or bed times. She feels so cozy in it and goes to sleep quickly. Before the nest she would roll around and swing her arms and feet but since she’s in her cocoon and bundled up, she goes right to sleep.
