Special thanks to McCormick for making this post possible. All opinions are my own.
Tuesdays are our busy day. We get home from our homeschool co-op around 4:30 p.m., and I typically have about thirty minutes to get dinner on the table before the oldest two start getting ready to go out the door again to AWANA Kids Club. It’s the one day of the week that I rarely, if ever, try new recipes because dinner needs to be quick, simple, and guaranteed to please. The last thing I want on a Tuesday is a melt down! I recently broke my No New Recipes on Tuesday rule and tried McCormick’s Smoky Applewood BBQ Chicken with bacon Skillet Sauce. It required only four ingredients, and the package said that prep time was 5 minutes and cook time only 15 minutes, so that would leave me with ten minutes to spare.
Seriously, a package of chicken thighs, a bit of oil, an onion, and a package of McCormick Skillet Sauce…
And twenty minutes later, dinner was served…
I served the Smoky Applewood BBQ Chicken with steamed broccoli that I shaved some Irish Cheddar Cheese onto, and mixed fruit. It disappeared quickly, and poor Hubs was stuck with making a sandwich for his lunch for work, because there were no leftovers to be had! Next time I make it, I’m going to make BBQ Chicken Tacos. Oh, yeah!
Here’s the recipe, so you can make it, too!

This Smoky Applewood BBQ Chicken with steamed broccoli looks incredible. I also love putting tons of cheddar on my broccoli and it is also the only way my kids will eat it.
This looks GREAT. We’ll be trying this soon. I really like easy recipes that taste great.
wow for a recipe so easy, fast and simple, it packs a huge wallop and in a good way of course! I’d love to try this!!
