If you have a child that has a serious allergy, you know how time consuming it can be. You have to read every food label that enters your home or comes within two feet of your child. Not to mention constantly telling others (i.e. teachers, friends, family) that your child has an allergy. Then, if you want to leave your child in the care of anyone else, you have to make sure they can administer an epi-injection if need be. Often times, you have to be the one to train them to do it. When you do leave your child in someone else’s care, it would be nice to know that someone is there to speak for your child if you can’t. That’s where allergy notes from Label Daddy comes in.
I recently received the opportunity to review Label Daddy products. Label Daddy carries a variety of products, including shirt tags, zipper labels, shoe labels, and a 152 Label Camp Pack. Most of their products can be customized with icons ranging from sunbursts to Disney characters.
Given that Mister has a peanut allergy, I immediately gravitated to the allergy notes.
The customization page is extremely easy to navigate and will show you a proof of your label before you purchase.
I received Mister’s Allergy Notes in the mail complete with application instructions. We chose the laminated ones, since we plan to use them on his cups and what not. Laminated labels are microwave safe, dishwasher safe and washer & dryer safe. Here is how they turned out…
The Label Daddy labels are very strong, and require a little extra time in removing them from the cards. It is also a good idea to be careful and take your time when applying them to various surfaces.
I applied a label to Mister’s straw cup.
I was concerned that with the busy print on his cup, the Allergy Note wouldn’t be as noticeable. Not to worry, it stands out pretty well!
I applied the Allergy Notes to his medicine bag, that is kept in the diaper bag, to his snack bag, and even to his Epi-Pen Jr. case.
Notice how you can see the mold of the Epi-Pen Jr. case through the label? They conform to just about anything.
What I like: I really like the fact that the Allergy Notes can be laminated, thus making them safe for the dishwasher, etc. I also like that they have the exclamation mark on them, to draw the eye to the alert.
What I would change: I wouldn’t change anything about the labels I received. I would, however, like to see the Allergy Notes in a couple of sizes. A smaller label would have worked better on the Epi-Pen Jr. case.
The Allergy Notes from Label Daddy have been inducted into my Mommy “Must-Have” arsenal.
A set of 20 Allergy Notes is $17.50 (USD) which is a small price to pay for peace of mind. Get your own Allergy Notes from Label Daddy.

Ok, I looked at their website and the school kit will be in my arsenal of “mommy supplies” every fall before they start school. No more messy sharpie marks to get their name on everything. Washable tags with their name for clothes…what a great invention!!! I think you need to do a give away 🙂 🙂 (hint, hint)
