It’s hard to explain the feelings that go along with adopting a child. You wonder before you meet the child whether or not you’ll love them enough. If you have another child, you wonder if you’ll love them as much. Let me tell you, this sweet girl has all my love just like my son does. Words cannot explain the wealth of emotion that swells within me just looking at her. I am so incredibly blessed to get to be her mommy.

Mister is a fan, too. Here he is kissing her on the top of her head! Isn’t that cute?
Mister watched as I dress her in her traveling clothes. My friend, Amanda, got this dress for her and Brian liked it so much he asked if we could put it on her to take her “home” to the hotel when we left the hospital.

We have to stay in a hotel until Michigan says we can leave and Missouri says we can come home. The hotel brought us a crib, and Mister keeps reaching for her through the hotel crib rails.

I walked around the house with this soft pink blanket around my neck quite a bit, hoping my scent would be a comfort for her. We did a little photo op with her, and I think she thought we were loco. Mister’s first picture is with his soft blue airplane blanket, also sans clothing.

This is likely one of my favorite photos so far!

Getting a new sister and staying in a hotel means all sorts of fun and adventure… here Mister climbs into the cabinet drawer.

Eating away from home means Mister gets to eat his first ever Happy Meal. (Thank you, Jesus, for protecting his arteries).

Mister thought it would be fun to drag the toilet paper from the hotel bathroom to the hotel living room…

Uh oh, it broke…

400 sheets per roll, huh?

LOL!
Sister had her first bath at the hotel…

Her hair after her first shampoo! She has more than me!

She’s not a fan of her first round of Tummy Time. She protests the recommended 15 minutes twice a day! LOL!

Still in the hotel, we did her “One Week” photo shoot…

Another one of my favorites… Mister and Sister’s toes together!

And this is what Mister thinks about this photo shoot…

I am so incredibly blessed to be their mommy!
Be blessed!
