I mentioned in my Advocare 24 Day Challenge Day 1 post that I would be sharing my progress as I go through the AdvoCare 24 Day Challenge. Today is Day 5, so I thought I’d check in and let you know how things are going.
When I started, I had already lost 41 pounds on my own with calorie counting and exercise. I figured Advocare could only help propel me toward my final goal. I wasn’t sure what to really expect, though, because I am already eating healthy, limiting processed foods and so on. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I’ve lost 1.5 pounds since Sunday. I’ve also lost a total of three inches, with a half inch off each upper arm, a half inch off each thigh, and an inch off the waist. Now, if the hips would follow suit, I’d be over the moon!
Here’s my Day 1 photos…
I tried to make sure my Day 5 photos were taken in the same place with the same clothing, etc, so you’d know there’s no camera trickery. Unfortunately, it’s overcast and the lighting stinks, for which I apologize. I need to invest in a tripod, so I can make sure the angles are always the same, too. Anyway, here’s my Day 5 photos…
I don’t SEE much of a difference myself, but I was able to wear a pair of jeans that I haven’t been able to wear in a long time? Woop! And the number of comments that I’ve gotten this week alone about my weight loss is very encouraging.
And here’s my measurements…
As you can see, the percentage of fat went down, but the percentage of muscle stayed the same. Which means I lost fat and water, but maintained muscle. Yay.
I’ll check in again in a few days to let you know how things are going!
